Still my favorite game, period. The update for the iPad was really not substantial but I am enjoying the chance to play this game again. You start off at a small airport where you are in charge of landing planes. Land them on time, make money. Make money, buy better gates as well as other items to keep the planes happy. Keep the planes happy, make even more money. Tick the planes off by keeping them in the air too long or waiting and they will get ticked at you costing you, yep, money! Some planes even need repairs or gas which adds to the fun. As you progress through the game the airports and planes get bigger leaving you tapping wildly to try to keep the planes happy and the airport profitable. |

Maybe you followed me on Twitter during my crazy 2 days in Vegas where I got 4 $1000 bonus hands in the course of 6 hours. If you were there, you know I love video poker. I was pretty bummed to see the blah offerings of video poker on the iPhone. Finally! Dakazu Poker. It looks just like the Video Poker you would see in Vegas and it has a choice of 6 different poker games. If you are the social type, you can tie into their online leadeboards. They will then post the jackpots you hit along with a screenshot of it. |

My favorite Sudoku for the iPhone (iSudoku) sadly is not out for the iPad. So, for now, I hang out with Uni Sudoko. It is a nice clean interface that allows for easy tapping of notes. The one annoying thing about this software is trying to scribble in the number. It still cannot figure out 8. Even with them popping up a little helper showing me how to draw the 8. I end up with 3, 2 and on those turbulant flight days, 7. |

Damn you birds, damn you! This game was on the top of the charts for so long I finally decided to give in. I am not sure yet if I am 100% happy with that decision. This game is slightly addicting / annoying. You control a mob of, you guessed it, angry birds. They are chasing after some green round guys that stole their eggs. Their only method of transportation is a slingshot. You see, these birds do not know how to fly on their own so it is up to you to sling them to the best height and then unleash either bomb birds, crashing birds or a host of other talented flightless feathered friends. Part strategy, luck and frustration. They are constantly updating the game and there are many walkthroughs to help you online if you get stuck. Which you might. Again and again and again |

The $10.00 might be a little steep but its a packed game. Crosswords feeds into 20+ different newspaper and magazine crossword puzzles. You can hold up to 10 crosswords at a time from each of those sources which gives you a lot of choices. You can also subscribe which will open up even more crossword sources Very clean and easy to use interface. Now, if I can just solve those harder puzzles. |

There might be a few other solitaire games more popular than this one in the store, but, none of them offer the amount of games Solitaire City does. Straightforward game. Lots of choices. Happy Leslie |

Never played Mahjong before? It is all about matching the tiles together. Match two, they are removed from the design. Match them all and win! This title IMHO has some of the prettiest graphics. It has a host of small features which I really have yet to explore. I am just in it for the match n tap. |

Words With Friends / Scrabble:

To all of my WWF friends, my apologies for not tapping lately. You can blame the little airplanes and birds on the top of this list. Words with Friends and Scrabble are two great titles to enjoy with your students and friends. It is your typical Scrabble like game but with social networking. Hook up Twitter, Facebook of just screen names provided by the system and play. Yes. I am the queen of four letter words. Wait, the sounded bad. |
